Today I wrote a poem about going to and eating in a restaurant – then vomiting certain parts of my ‘cene de tarde’ up. In order for me to write the poem I had build up my vocabulary of verbs, verbs like; ‘comer’ which is, ‘to eat’. ‘limpiar’ which is ‘to clean’. ‘volver’ which is ‘to return’. Again I practised changing the verbs as they were linked with differnt pronouns and memorised them so I could use/spell them correctly in the poem. I also practised translating Spanish sentences containing the verbs I had just learnt. “I write a lot” en español “escribo mucho”.
The French poem ‘Jacques Prevert – Déjeuner du Matin’ inspired me to write one of my own in Spanish.
Cena de tarde
Salgo de la casa
Tengo hambre
Llego al restaurante
Tengo sed
Leo el menú
Selecciono que quiero comer y beber
Pido lasaña y ensalada
Pido una coca
